This trail leads to the recently open drawbridge in the city of Kuala Trengganu. The bridge is attracting many visitors from all over the place especially during holiday season.
Ample space for vehicles parking is provided near the bridge so that visitors could enjoy the view of the bridge as well as the riverbank.
The total length of the bridge is 638 meter. Visitors could walk along the pedestrians walkway to get to the gallery entrance. The gallery is open everyday from 10am to 10pm only closed on Friday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

We can reach the mosque via river cruise or by car...there is also a boardwalk for tourist to walk along the river from the civilsation park to the mosque...
Unfortunately, during our visit the mosque is closed for renovation works... Nonetheless, tourists can still walk around the mosque to talk pictures or selfie...
Great Hills

This trail leads to the peak of three hills in one location of which the highest level is at Besar Hill. Besar Hill is also where the Telecom Malaysia placed their communication towers.
The trailhead is located at Sultan Mohammad Road and about 3 km from Kuala Trengganu city centre. Hikers can park their vehicles at the side of the road and the designated parking space beside the trailhead.
There are many trails could be chosen to reach all the summits. This trail begins with the easiest route by using tarmac road about 1 km to reach the summit of Besar Hill. This highest peak is at 156 meter above sea level.
The trail then descend to reach Botak Hill check points. There are sitting places and signboards provided for hikers. The trail further down is more challenging where it requires ropes to climb and descend to reach Kubang check point. Hikers then can choose either to go to Rohok Hill which is shorter distance or Tobak Hill which is more challenging to get back to the the trailhead.
This trail is through Tobak Hill, where the distance is about 2km. Overall the cleanliness of the trails is excellent and many rest areas along the way. Ropes and steps are observed to be sufficient to ensure the safety of the hikers.
Islamic Civilisation Park

This walking trail covers most of the area of the Islamic Civilisation Park. This trail does not cover trails inside the Monument Park.
The Islamic Civilisation Park is located at Wan Man Island about 10Km from Kuala Trengganu City Center. The walking trails begin from the parking area beside the Monument Park.
Visitors could choose to enter the Monument Park with some nominal fee. Beside the Monument Park is the Waterfront Restaurants for visitors to enjoy variety of food. Visitors could further walk along the river bank to reach the Water Taxi Jetty and the Crystal Mosque towards the end. Visitors could enjoy the river cruise from this jetty.
Outside the Crystal Mosque, visitors could also rent bicycle to cycle around the park. Restrooms and playground are also available in the park.
Bukit Besar Trail

This trail is in the middle of Kuala Terengganu town just opposite to Hiliran Recreation park.
There are plenty of parking area plus along the roadside...
Actually there are a number of entrances to choose from and we started at the tarmac road up to the TM communication tower...
From this peak, we go down to the hiking trail to reach the second peak of bukit besar...
We walked farther to the other peak before going back to the parking area...the trail is a bit challenging here but there is an easier option if you take entrance A route...
Eventhough the cleanliness at the beach should be improved here in K Terengganu, but I have to compliment the hiking trails which are very clean and they trash bag are provided along the trail to put the empty plastic bottles...

Maras Hills

This trail leads to the peak of Maras Hill which is 329 meter above sea level. The trailhead is located at Maras, a small village about 20km from Kuala Trengganu city centre, in the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia.
Visitors can park their vehicles at the designated space near the main entrance. There is fee chargeable to the visitors but there is donation box placed at the main entrance for the upkeep of the place.
Restrooms are available at the entrance and on the way to the peak. Hiking time about 1 hour to reach the peak and there are sitting places along the trail.
The view at the peak is breathtaking and visitors can climb the viewing tower to enjoy the scene.
Bukit Maras Trail

The trail is not so hard and it is suitable for beginners as the trail is very clear...
Along the way to the top there are checkpoints and we can see the villagers plantations...
At the peak there is a view tower and the ciew from the top is breathtaking...
Gulf of Ketapang Beach Recreational Park

This walking trail is suitable for weekends getaway after consuming plenty of tempura seafood. Teluk Ketapang Beach Recreational Park is located about 10Km from Kuala Trengganu city centre is popular place to have seafood tempura in the east coast of the peninsular.
Other than walking and jogging visitors enjoy playing at the beach, horse back riding, ATVs and variety of foods to choose.

There are a lot of activities to be done, but the cleanliness of the beach need to be improved...
