Best Walking Trails & Routes in Magden

The beginning of the path is a road with pedestrian way which leads to the forest. The hike is Medium except a small stretch of the forest with overgrown bushes with thorns which is difficult to walk. May get hurt if not very careful which makes the route hard to walk. But you can skip this segment of trail completely and take another route which is a bit longer. Apart from that, the trail is beautiful which finally leads to Bahnhof .

Beautiful walking trail from Magden Hauptstrasse to Breitmatt. The route is along the main road and on the other side is forest. Easy to walk with no obstacles and lots of benches to sit throughout the path.

The first half kilometer of the road is almost flat and easy to walk. After that you need to walk uphill for more than 1 km and then the path is fine. The forest trail leads to the beautiful valley with amazing views. The trail ends on the same road making it a round trip around the valley.

At the beginning the trail starts on a small road and then leads to a narrow pedestrian way which finally leads to the same road. After that the whole trail is paved road and stroller/wheelchair friendly. The first half kilometer, houses are there on both side of the road. The next 1 km is uphill and it is a bit steep and hard to walk. There are many farms and farm animals throughout the trail. You can see sheep, cows, buffaloes and horses. After that the path is almost flat and easy which leads to the forest area. This trail runs along the forest and on the other side beautiful valleys can be seen. After 2 kilometers apple/pear and maze farm can be seen. After 3 kilometers the path goes downhill and on one side a small stream is flowing. Then the trail is almost flat till end. There are benches throughout the path to sit and enjoy the view. There are some restaurants along the trail. The last part of the trail is a small old town which finally leads to another farm. Throughout the trail beautiful fields and valleys can be seen. Wild flowers and tall trees makes it more beautiful. Most of the areas are calm and quiet.

The trail starts from Magden Unterdorf and ends in Möhlin Bahnhof. At the beginning the trail starts from the bus stop and then take right turn on Bergweg. The first half kilometer is a bit hard to walk as the trail goes uphill and is steep. The view is amazing. After a while it enters Brandweg on the left and goes theough near a farm and enters the forest area around 1 kilometer. There is a small picnic area at this point. After a while the trail takes right turn to Hinterer Serbenweg and then again taking a right turn to Steppberg. Again another picnic area can be seen as you enter the Steppberg which is called Jagdhütte Steppberg. At 2 kilometrs the trail turn right to Sheidweg and after a while leads to Tallmattrandweg on left. Around 3 kilometrs the trail crosses the highway A3 and leads to a paved road. As you walk along, a deer farm can be seen on right side and around 4kilometrs the trail crosses the road Landstrasse. The trail is paved road till the end. After 4.5 kilometrs the trail leads to area with houses and ends on the parking area of Möhlin Bahnhof. At the starting point and end point, public transport and parking areas are available.
