Well maintained park, with paved path that is a one mile loop, spanning the perimeter of the park. Guided fitness outposts along the path. Mostly level grade that is suitable for all ages. Leashed dogs and strollers. Path has a generous width that can accommodate all.

Rustic trail that runs on the lower edge of the Watchung Reservation. Beautiful views of Lake Surprise. Secluded and peaceful. Mostly level grade, some rocks and roots. Can get muddy after rain. Water proofed footwear recommended. Excellent path for trail running or short hike. No markers to speak of, but trail is clearly visible at all times.
