Outstanding hiking and biking trails in the Makawao Forest - The Kahakapao Trail on the side of Haleakala Mountain. Some trails are only for bikers, some only for hikers and some are for both so be aware. All trails are well marked. It’s a gorgeous place to hike any time of day as it’s most always cool under the forest canopy. Great exercise and very beautiful but no vistas.
