With 61 hectares of undulating parklands to explore – sweeping harbour vistas, heritage buildings, beautiful landscapes and gardens and more tree species than New York’s Central Park – Callan Park is the jewel of the Inner West.
Easy walk around the bay, very popular with the locals. Callan Park is great for chilling out with a book or for exploring the remains of the mental health institution that formerly was. Follow the path out of the park for a 7km circular route around the bay and back through the grounds... it was a hot one, so I finished up at the welcome hotel (beat craft beer pub in Rozelle) for a refreshing Wicked Elf IPA
