There is a gate to enter the park on the outskirts of Claremorris, County Mayo and a car park beside the entrance.
The walk can be done in two loops with the first around Clare Lake for those who just have half an hour to spare. The second takes in McMahon sculpture park and woods and both can be done together in an hour. They are both nice easy loop walks through woodland.
