It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east of Pocklington.The civil parish is formed by the village of Millington and the hamlets of Great Givendale and Ousethorpe.According to the 2011 UK census, Millington parish had a population of 242, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 217.
