Rustic trail that runs on the lower edge of the Watchung Reservation. Beautiful views of Lake Surprise. Secluded and peaceful. Mostly level grade, some rocks and roots. Can get muddy after rain. Water proofed footwear recommended. Excellent path for trail running or short hike. No markers to speak of, but trail is clearly visible at all times.

Watching Reservation is great. Can get crowded and muddy at places. But otherwise it checks all the boxes for a refreshing hike.
