Start at Gunthorpe Lock and follow river pathway downstream for approx 1 mile. At double white gates go through and look for public footpath 100 yards on left. Follow to road. Turn left at Road and follow to Black Horse Pub in Caythorpe (Refreshment break). Opposite pub is a footpath. Follow it straight over two fields. Then follow to right around next field to road. Go straight on past farm until junction with main road in Gunthorpe. Turn left and follow road back to river and start point.
