Halifax, officially known as the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), is the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It had a population of 403,131 in 2016, with 316,701 in the urban area centred on Halifax Harbour. The regional municipality consists of four former municipalities that were amalgamated in 1996: Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, and Halifax County.

CBHT-DT is the CBC Television owned-and-operated television station in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It broadcasts a digital, high-definition, terrestrial over-the-air signal on UHF channel 39, from a transmitter located on Washmill Lake Drive (near Bently Drive) in Halifax. It also became Cape Breton Island's CBC station, when CBIT-TV was closed in 2012 as part of the CBC's digital transition.

Queen Elizabeth High School (QEH) was a secondary school in Halifax, Nova Scotia. QEH was known for its high academic standards, competitive sports teams and distinguished extra-curricular activities such as its annual model parliament and musical productions.
