The Cathedral museum of Prato, Italy was founded in 1967 in a few rooms of the Bishop's residence and in 1976 grew to include items from both the Cathedral of Saint Stephen and the diocesan territory.

Prato ( PRAH-toh, Italian: [ˈpraːto] (listen)) is a city and comune in Tuscany, Italy, the capital of the Province of Prato. The Monash University Prato Centre is a teaching and research centre in Tuscany. It is located in an 18th-century palace, the Palazzo Vaj, in the historical centre of Prato. Sant'Agostino is a Romanesque-style brick church in central Prato, Tuscany, Italy.An oratory and small Augustinian monastery had been present on the site since 1271. Construction of the church lasted until 1440. New altars were built in the 16th and 17th century. It became a parish church upon the suppression of the convent in 1810.
