There are also beautiful and spectacular buildings in the park: the National Taiwan Museum. Here, Taiwan's aboriginal culture and the diversity of various living things in Taiwan are exhibited. Shin Kong Life Tower (Chinese: 新光人壽保險摩天大樓; pinyin: Xīnguāng Rénshòu Bǎoxiǎn Mótiān Dàlóu) is one of Taiwan's earliest skyscrapers at 51 storeys 245 metres (803.8 ft). The rose-coloured tower topped by a pyramid stands in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, and dates from 1993. Its first twelve floors and two underground floors house a Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store; the remaining floors provide office space and serve as headquarters for the Shin Kong Life insurance company.

228 Peace Memorial Park

The 228 Peace Memorial Park is a historic site and municipal park located at 3 Ketagalan Boulevard, Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park contains memorials to victims of the February 28 Incident of 1947, including the Taipei 228 Memorial that stands at the center of the park and the Taipei 228 Memorial Museum, housed at the site of a former radio station that operated under Japanese and Kuomintang rule.

National Taiwan University Hospital

The National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH; Chinese: 國立台灣大學醫學院附設醫院; pinyin: Guólì Táiwān Dàxué Yīxuéyuàn Fùshè Yīyuàn) started operations under Japanese rule in Daitōtei (today's Dadaocheng) on 18 June 1895, and moved to its present location in 1898. The Hospital was later annexed to the Medical School of Taihoku Imperial University and renamed Taihoku Imperial University Medical School Affiliated Hospital in 1937.
