5th Avenue Havana

The Embassy of Russia in Havana is the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Cuba. It's well known for its' striking constructivist building in the Miramar district of the city built by architect Aleksandr Rochegov. Some liken it to a sword, others to a syringe.

The University of Arts of Cuba / Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) was established on September 1, 1976, by the Cuban government as a school for the arts. Its original structure had three schools: Music, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts.At present the ISA has four schools, the previous three and one for Arts and Audiovisual Communication Media.

Iglesia de Jesús de Miramar is the second largest church in Cuba. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Cristobal de la Habana. It was begun in 1948 and inaugurated on May 28, 1953. It is constructed in the Romanesque-Byzantine style. Its architects were Eugenio Cosculluela (1893–1978) y Guido Sutter.

The Acuario Nacional de Cuba (National Aquarium of Cuba) is an aquarium in Havana, Cuba established in 1960 to focus on "research and environmental education". Displays include those of coral and other tropical species, as well as a dolphinarium and sea lion shows.

Playa is one of the 15 municipalities or boroughs (municipios in Spanish) in the city of Havana, Cuba. The word playa means "beach" or seaside in Spanish.

Tne National Art Schools (Escuelas Nacionales de Arte) of Cuba is one of the most important educational institutions of the Cuban nation and has been declared as "National Monument".Cuba's National Art Schools (Escuelas Nacionales de Arte, now known as the Instituto Superior de Arte) are considered by historians to be among the most outstanding architectural achievements of the Cuban Revolution.
