By train take Pingxi Branch Line to Shifen Stations. By bus take Taipei Bus 795 to Shifenliao. Then easily walk to the information center, here is the starting point to go to the waterfall. Shifen Waterfall is Taiwan’s largest cascade falls. Because the orientation of the rock strata and the water flow are in opposite directions, its appearance makes it known as the Niagara Falls of Taiwan. Shifen Waterfall is powerful and graceful, its water forming a white silklike pattern as it descends. Because of the recent continuous rain in the local area, the water output of the waterfall is very rich. The front of the waterfall is an excellent place to take a photo, and step forward to feel the refreshing mist. The mountain and nature wash away the weariness of the journey.
