Shifen Ancient Street, Ringxi

Leaving the Shifen train station, we can see a special scene, the houses are located on both sides of the railway. Here is the famous Shifen Ancient Street, the road is about 3 meters wide, and the railway runs through the street. Shifen Ancient Street vendors sell sky lanterns and various souvenirs. The release of sky lanterns on the railway has become the most popular activity in Shifen Ancient Street. Tourists come here to write their wishes on the sky lanterns, turning the blessing into a happy wing fluttering in the wind. The railway carries passengers once per hour, and at other times, the sky lanterns rise in the air to let dreams take flight. After enjoying the Ancient street, railway and sky lanterns that define Pingxi, continue to the end of the street to reach Jingan Bridge, Pingxi’s longest suspension bridge. During the golden age of coal, the bridge was built by mining companies for transport purposes. Tourist stop on the bridge to admire the river below, or they pose by the entrance for commemorative photos.
