The Australian National University (ANU) is a national research university located in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Its main campus in Acton encompasses seven teaching and research colleges, in addition to several national academies and institutes.Founded in 1946, it is the only university to have been created by the Parliament of Australia.

The ANU School of Music is a school in the Research School of Humanities and the Arts, which forms part of the College of Arts and Social Sciences of the Australian National University. It consists of four buildings, including the main School of Music building – which contains Llewellyn Hall – and the Peter Karmel Building.

The Australian National University Library is part of the Australian National University in Canberra, one of the world's major research universities.

Canberra University College was a tertiary education institution established in Canberra by the Australian government and the University of Melbourne in 1930. At first it operated in the Telopea Park School premises after hours. Most of the initial students were public servants and all were part-timers.

The Australian National Dictionary Centre at the Australian National University in Canberra is a major centre for lexicographical research in Australia. It is jointly funded by the Australian National University and Oxford University Press Australia and New Zealand. The Centre conducts research into Australian English and provides Oxford University Press with editorial expertise for its Australian dictionaries.

Toad Hall is a residential hall in Australian National University, it was opened in 1974. Toad Hall is primarily a residence for post-graduate/ mature age (generally over 23 years old) students drawn from some 50 countries across the globe.It is located at the corner of Barry Drive and Kingsley Street, Acton.

Reserve Bank of Australia building is a heritage-listed bank building at 20-22 London Circuit, City, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. It was designed by Howlett and Bailey in 1962 and built from 1963 to 1965 by Civil and Civic. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 22 June 2004.

Land & Water Australia was an Australian statutory corporation established under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act of 1989. Its primary focus was to organize and fund research and development activities which improved the long term productive capacity, sustainable use, management and conservation of Australia's land, water and vegetation resources.
