Wellingborough ( WEL-ing-bər-ə) is a large market town in the Wellingborough district of Northamptonshire, England, 11 miles (18 km) from Northampton on the north side of the River Nene.Originally named "Wendelingburgh" (the stronghold of Wændel's people), the Anglo-Saxon settlement is mentioned in the Domesday Book as "Wendelburie".

Wellingborough is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2005 by Peter Bone, a Conservative.

The Swansgate Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in the town centre of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. It is the second largest shopping centre in Northamptonshire after the Grosvenor Centre in Northampton. It was built in the early 1970s and was originally known as the Arndale Centre.
