Floriade 2019

The Captain James Cook Memorial was built by the Commonwealth Government to commemorate the Bicentenary of Captain James Cook's first sighting of the east coast of Australia. The memorial includes a water jet located in the central basin and a skeleton globe sculpture at Regatta Point of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, showing the paths of Cook's expeditions.

The Australia Forum is a proposed convention centre complex for Canberra, Australia.In response to the Australian capital's "...lack of a sufficiently large, high quality, secure venue that can be locked down without disrupting the city, as well as a lack of sufficient accommodation of a suitably high standard" a proposal was announced on 11 April 2011 for a $328 million complex in what is now Acton park on the shore of the Western basin of Lake Burley Griffin.

Art, Not Apart is an annual Australian contemporary arts festival held in Canberra, providing an opportunity for artists to display their works and connect with the community.The Art, Not Apart festival features exhibitions, performance art, numerous music stages, installations, strange interventions, street food, cafes and a dance party.
