Expect some elevation gain on the way out on this trail as it is downhill all the way in. The trail starts handicap accessible to the first observation point about .1 mile from the trail head. After that point the trail turns to rock/dirt and starts winding downhill. Leads through old growth forest with lots of hemlock and white pine. You will shortly reach the creek and walk alongside it for most of the way. Keep your eyes peeled for plunging waterfalls on that creek. Once you reach the end of the trail it becomes all boardwalk with observation points. Two creeks come together with cascading waterfalls. One way the trail is roughly 1.1 mile. The trail is not extremely steep but for those not used to the north Georgia mountains you will feel it coming out.
