Val Fex

The Nietzsche-Haus is a house in Sils Maria, Switzerland, where the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche lived during the summers of 1881 and 1883 to 1888.

Sils im Engadin/Segl (German: Sils im Engadin; Romansh Segl ), often also as Sils i.E./Segl, is a municipality and a village in the Maloja Region, Upper Engadine in the Swiss canton of the Grisons.The municipality consists of two villages Segl Maria (Romansh, German: Sils Maria; Seglias is part of Segl Maria) and Segl Baselgia (German: Sils Baselgia; Baselgia is Romansh for church), the Val Fex (German: Fextal), and the three Maiensässe (Alpine pastures traditionally used for spring grazing) Grevasalvas, Blaunca and Buaira above Plaun da Lej on the left side of the valley.

Val Fex (Romansh; German: Fextal) is a southern side valley from the Upper Engadine in Switzerland, located at an altitude of around 1,800 to 2,000 metres (5,900–6,600 feet) above sea level. It belongs to the municipality of Sils im Engadin/Segl.There are a few small hamlets in the valley, such as Fex Platta, Fex Crasta, Vaüglia at its entrance, and Muot and Curtins on the half way.

Surlej is a village in Graubünden, Switzerland. It is located close to Sankt Moritz and Silvaplana.
