Cheragi Pahar (sometimes written Cheragee Pahar) (Bengali:চেরাগী পাহাড়) is a cultural and historical place located at Chittagong, Bangladesh. Most of the cultural activities of Chittagong and related business were established in the place. Some parts of the region Momin Road are the part of Cheragee Pahar Circle.

Ziaur Rahman, the president of Bangladesh, was assassinated by a faction of officers of Bangladesh Army, on 30 May 1981, in the south-eastern port city of Chittagong. Rahman went to Chittagong to arbitrate in a clash between the local leaders of his political party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. On the night of 30 May, a group of officers commandeered the Chittagong Circuit House, a government residence where Rahman was staying, shooting him and several others.

Bangladesh Mahila Samiti Girls' High School & College (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ মহিলা সমিতি বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় ও কলেজ) is a school for girls, located in Kotwali Thana of Chittagong, Bangladesh. For short it is known as 'BMS' (Bangladesh Mahila Samiti) or 'BWA' (Bangladesh Women's Association) Girls' High School & College.

Bistaar: Chittagong Arts Complex (Bengali: বিস্তার: চিটাগং আর্টস কমপ্লেক্স), aka BCAC, is a self-sustained, multidisciplinary and multifaceted arts facility based in port city of Chittagong in Bangladesh. The place is also a contemporary venue for performing arts and culture in the city. Founded in late 2014 by the writer, translator and cultural personality Alam Khorshed, under a non-profit project called Chittagong Arts Trust.

Jamiatul Falah Mosque or Baitul Falah (Bengali: জমিয়াতুল ফালাহ) is the largest mosque in Chittagong, Bangladesh, able to hold 5,000 worshipers.It is located on the south side of WASA Square. To the east of the mosque is a large eidgah that is commonly the location of two of the three largest Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha gatherings in the city.

Chittagong Independent University (CIU) started its journey in Chittagong in 1999 as an additional campus of Independent University Bangladesh (IUB). IUB and the founding trust pioneered the establishment of private universities in Bangladesh. CIU was formed by the same trust ESTCDT after the amendment by the private university Act.

Dr. Khastagir Government Girls' High School is a secondary school in Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is near Jamal Khan, in the central part of the city. It is a large girls' school, established by Annadacharan Khastagir, a pioneer in women's education in Chittagong during the late 19th century.The school is one of the top schools of Chittagong.
