Lodi (Italian: [ˈlɔːdi] (listen); Lodigiano: Lòd) is a city and comune in Lombardy, northern Italy, on primarily on the western bank of the River Adda. It is the capital of the province of Lodi.

The Battle of Lodi was fought on 10 May 1796 between French forces under Napoleon Bonaparte and an Austrian rear guard led by Karl Philipp Sebottendorf at Lodi, Lombardy. The rear guard was defeated, but the main body of Johann Peter Beaulieu's Austrian Army had time to retreat.

The province of Lodi (Italian: provincia di Lodi; Lodigiano: pruincia de Lod) is a province in the Lombardy region of Italy. Its provincial capital is the city of Lodi. As of 2017, it has a population of 229,541 inhabitants over an area of c. 783 square kilometres (300 sq mi), giving the province a population density of 293.2 inhabitants per square kilometre.

Pieve Fissiraga (Lodigiano: Pieu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lodi in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Milan and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Lodi. Pieve Fissiraga borders the following municipalities: Lodi, Lodi Vecchio, Cornegliano Laudense, Borgo San Giovanni, Massalengo, Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, Villanova del Sillaro.

The Biblioteca Laudense is the main public library (Biblioteca Comunale) located on Via Solferino #72, in the town of Lodi, in the region of Lombardy, Italy. The library is in the Palazzo San Filippo, once housing the convent and chapel of the Oratorians. It now houses the library and a Civic Museum of Lodi.

The Italian Catholic Diocese of Lodi (Latin: Dioecesis Laudensis) has existed since the fourth century, and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Milan. In 2013 in the diocese of Lodi there was one priest for every 1,337 Catholics.
