Esplugues

Esplugues de Llobregat (Catalan pronunciation: [əsˈpluɣəz ðə ʎuβɾəˈɣat]) is a municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area. It belongs to the comarca of Baix Llobregat, Barcelona province, Catalonia, Spain.During the recent decades Esplugues has evolved from a predominantly industrial city to a modern city with all services, preserving however its cultural and historical identity.

The Can Tinturé Museum, in Esplugues de Llobregat, is located in a house built at the end of the 19th century by architect Claudi Duran i Ventosa, and is the first monographic sample tile museum in Spain. The Can Tinturé Museum also manages the museum at the Pujol i Bausis factory, La Rajoleta, which was a point of reference in the production of Catalan industrial tiles, especially during the highpoint of Art Nouveau.

Gavarra is a station on line 5 of the Barcelona Metro.The station is located underneath Avinguda Salvador Allende, between Carrer de l'Anoia and Carrer de l'Empordà, in Cornellà de Llobregat. It was opened in 1983.The side-platform station has a single ticket hall with two accesses.

Sant Ildefons is a station on line 5 of the Barcelona Metro.The station is located underneath Avinguda República Argentina, between Plaça Sant Ildefons and Carrer Camèlia, in Cornellà de Llobregat. It was opened in 1976 and served as the terminus of line 5 until the extension to Cornellà Centre in 1983.

Mercat Marsans is one of the three public markets of Cornellà de Llobregat (Catalonia, Spain), located in La Gavarra neighborhood.It was opened on 25 September 1960, to manage the population growth that occurred in Cornellà in the late forties and early fifties, being the second market built in the city after Mercat del Centre.

The Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB; "Metropolitan Area of Barcelona") is a public body operating on the principle of metropolitan authority. It is composed of representatives of Barcelona and 36 adjacent municipalities accounting for a population of 3,239,337 (Idescat, 2014) within an area of 636 km2.
