Beginning in the Rose Gardens this is an easy and pleasant walk to bring the dog. There’s a playground for the kids and public toilets. Passing by sports grounds there is public use gym equipment in two locations so you can get a great workout too! Walk, jog, cycle, the tracks are kept in excellent condition. Check out the mural, the local water birds and the art gallery, which has its own cafe. Fun for the whole family, and there are even bag dispensers for cleaning up after your pooch, so the walk stays clean for everyone. Beautiful views of the lake all the way around.

The river peaked in the city at 4.1 metres (13 ft) which was 40 centimetres (16 in) above its major flood level.
