The Chinese Culture University (CCU; Chinese: 中國文化大學) is a private Taiwanese university located in Yangmingshan in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. CCU was established in 1962 and is one of the largest universities in Taiwan with an enrollment of about 32,000 students. Satellite campuses are located in the Jianguo, Ximending, and Zhongxiao East Road areas of Taipei City.

Taipei American School (TAS; Chinese: 臺北美國學校; abbreviation TAS) is a non-profit private international school with an American-based curriculum located in Tianmu, Shilin District, Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan). TAS serves students from prekindergarten through grade 12. In the high school, students may choose from a range of courses, including honors, AP, and IB courses, as well as the full IB Diploma Program.

The Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium (Chinese: 臺北市立天母棒球場; pinyin: Táiběi Shìlì Tiānmǔ Bàngqiú Chǎng) is a baseball stadium located in Tianmu Sport Park in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was built in 1999, and mostly hosts baseball games. Originally designed as community ballpark, Tianmu Stadium is located in a rather high price residential neighborhood of Tianmu, and many sound and light restrictions in regard of the usage of the stadium are in place.

Taipei Japanese School is a Japanese international school located in Shilin District, Taipei. Its facilities run up to junior high school.It is located across the street from Taipei American School.The enrollment declined significantly between 1990 and 2010.

The Hwa Kang Museum (Chinese: 華岡博物館; pinyin: Huágāng Bówùguǎn) is a museum in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. The museum is located at the Chinese Culture University.
