Park at the lot off Bushy Hill Drive for quick access to this trail. The route begins at the Ranger Station as you enter the Kumeyaay Lake Campground. Head north to start on the path. There are interesting signs along the way and lots of wildlife to be spotted. Rabbits seemed to be racing with me throughout. The trail wraps around the western half of the lake. There’s a floating bridge that provides access across a very narrow part of the lake and takes you back to its southern edge. From here, the path narrows and heads east. The trail became overgrown pretty quickly, so I stopped at an old felled tree and headed back to the start.
