Port Blair (pronunciation ) is the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a union territory of India situated in the Bay of Bengal and separated by it by over 1188 km from the closest point in the Mainland India. It is also the local administrative sub-division (tehsil) of the islands, the headquarters for the district of South Andaman, and is the territory's only notified town.

HMS Statesman was an S-class submarine of the Royal Navy, and part of the Third Group built of that class. She was built by Cammell Laird and launched on 14 September 1943. So far she has been the only ship of the Royal Navy to bear the name Statesman.
