Ballston Commons

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) is an organization within the United States Department of the Navy that coordinates, executes, and promotes the science and technology programs of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. It funds, administers, and collaborates with schools, universities, government laboratories, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit organizations.

Ballston is a neighborhood in Arlington County, Virginia and is home to the Ballston-MU station on the Orange Line and the Silver Line of the metro system.

Ballston–MU is a side-platformed Washington Metro station in Arlington County, Virginia, United States. The station opened on December 1, 1979, and is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). The station serves the Orange and Silver Lines. The station serves the transit-oriented community of Ballston, Ballston Common Mall, and Marymount University (MU).

The Cherrydale Volunteer Fire House is home to the Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department in the Cherrydale neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. Constructed in 1919, it has been a focal point for community attention ever since. The building served as Arlington County Fire Station #3 until a new station opened nearby in July 2011.

The Monroe Courts Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 39 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in northern Arlington. They were built in 1938, and consist of four groups of two-story, two-bay, rowhouse dwellings in a vernacular Colonial Revival-style.

Washington-Liberty High School (W-L, formerly Washington-Lee High School), is one of three traditional public high schools in the Arlington Public Schools district in Arlington, Virginia, covering grades 9–12, the others being Yorktown High School, also in north Arlington, and Wakefield High School in south Arlington.

Virginia Square is a neighborhood in Arlington County, Virginia. It is centered at the Virginia Square station on the Orange and Silver lines of the Washington Metro subway system, between Clarendon and Ballston. The neighborhood consists of a mix of high-rise apartments, garden apartments, and single-family homes generally dating back to the 1930s.
