A pleasant walk from The Attenborough nature reserve cafe to Sawley Marina and back. Canal and riverside walk for canal locks and beautiful open views on all sides. Excellent cafes at either end, Sawley Marina is particularly good.

All Saints' Church in Thrumpton, Nottinghamshire, England, dates from the 14th century and has been designated as a Grade II* listed building by Historic England. A stone font in the churchyard is Grade II listed.In 1870 the chancel was rebuilt and the nave restored by architect G E Street.The tower was repaired and restored in 2004.

Harrington Bridge

Harrington Bridge crosses the River Trent near Sawley in Derbyshire carrying the Tamworth Road (B6540) into Leicestershire. The stonework of the bridge dates from 1790, but the central section was replaced in 1905 after it was damaged by flood water. The central section is the only part of the bridge that is not a listed building.

Trent Viaducts

Trent Viaducts are two adjacent parallel railway bridges which carry the Midland Main Line over the River Trent between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Originally a single bridge, it was built by the engineer Charles Blacker Vignoles for the Midland Counties Railway in 1839.The Viaduct was rebuilt between 1891 and 1893 when a second crossing was added by the Midland Railway to carry the high-level goods line from Toton.
