The Batum Oblast was an oblast (province) of the Caucasus Viceroyalty of the Russian Empire, with the maritime city of Batum as its center. It roughly corresponded to most of present-day southwestern Georgia. It was created out of the territories of the former Ottoman Sanjak of Batum (occupied by the Ottomans since the late 16th century).

The Alphabetic Tower (Georgian: ანბანის კოშკი) is a 130-meter-high structure in Batumi, Georgia. The tower symbolizes the uniqueness of the Georgian alphabet and people. The structure combines the design of DNA, in its familiar double helix pattern. Two helix bands rise up the tower holding 33 letters of the Georgian alphabet, each 4 meters tall and made of aluminum.

Babillon Tower (Georgian: ბაბილონის კოშკი) is a skyscraper currently under construction in Batumi, Georgia. It will be 170 meters high (47 storeys). Once complete it will be tallest skyscraper in Batumi after Orbi Twin Towers (50 storeys). The tower will join the many new buildings constructed in Batumi in recent years, leading to renewal of the tourist industry.

The Church of the Mother of God (Georgian: ბათუმის ღვთისმშობლის სახელობის ეკლესია, batumis ghvtismshoblis sakhelobis eklesia) in Batumi is a Georgian Orthodox cathedral, originally built as a Catholic church early in the 1900s. A Gothic Revival design, the church is located in the Black Sea city of Batumi in Georgia's autonomous republic of Adjara.

The Batumi Synagogue (Georgian: ბათუმის სინაგოგა, batumis sinagoga) is a synagogue in Batumi, Adjara, Georgia. It was built by Semyon Vulkovich in 1904.

The Church of the Holy Spirit (Georgian: სულიწმიდის კათოლიკური ეკლესია) is a Roman Catholic church in the Black Sea city of Batumi, Georgia’s autonomous republic of Adjara. It was constructed in the late 1990s by the Georgian architects Oleg Pataridze and Giorgi Baghoshvili and consecrated in 2000.The building replaced the earlier church which was confiscated by communists during the Soviet occupation but since 1989 serves as the Georgian Orthodox Cathedral of the Mother of God.

Central Stadium was a multi-use stadium in Batumi, Georgia. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of FC Dinamo Batumi. Originally the capacity of the stadium was 15,000. Later the stadium was able to hold only 4,000 people. Finally, the arena was fully demolished and a new stadium is currently under construction.
