Beach

The Durban street circuit was a 3.283 kilometres (2.0 mi) temporary street circuit located in Durban, South Africa which was 300 metres from Durban's North Beach and 800 metres from Durban's CBD. The circuit and infrastructure was designed by D3 Motorsport Development which also oversaw the construction of the circuit each year.

The clubhouse features prominently on the Marine Parade.

Natal Command was a Command of the South African Army. It was headquartered in Durban, South Africa. By the 1980s, it was responsible for the security of the region, forming the primary level of command for military operations in support of the Police. It also provided logistic, administrative and service support to units and formations operating in its area of responsibility.
