Nemunas loops

The Verknė (known as Galaverknė in the upper reaches; Polish: Wierzchnia) is a 77-kilometre (48 mi) stream in Lithuania. It is a tributary of the Neman River (Nemunas); their confluence is 3 km (1.9 mi) north of Birštonas.Its spring is near Rūdiškės in the Trakai District Municipality where it is known as Galaverknė and passes a chain of smaller lakes.

Birštonas (pronunciation ; Yiddish: בירשטאן‎ Birshton) is a balneological resort and a spa town in Lithuania situated 30 km (19 mi) south of Kaunas on the right bank of the Nemunas River. Birštonas received its city rights 1529, and was appointed a city in 1966. The city is the administrative centre of the Birštonas municipality.

Prienai (Lithuanian pronunciation: [prʲɪɛaːɪ] (listen)) is a city in Lithuania situated on the Nemunas River, 29 km (18 mi) south of Kaunas. In 2011 the city had 9,867 inhabitants. The name of the city is a derivative from a surname Prienas. Pociūnai Airport is associated with the city.

The Big Baller Brand Challenge Games were a series of friendly basketball games between Vytautas Prienai–Birštonas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and five teams in the LKL, National Basketball League (NKL), and Regional Basketball League (RKL). It began on January 9 and ended on January 28, 2018.

The Big Baller Brand International Tournament was a round-robin basketball tournament hosted by Vytautas Prienai–Birštonas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) that featured three teams from different European countries. It began on February 25 and ended on February 27, 2018, with a total of six games and three games per team.

Prienai entertainment and sports arena is a multifunctional arena in Prienai. First official basketball game and arena opening took place on November 4, 2011, when Rūdupis defeated Techasas with result 81:56.It is also the home to Lithuanian basketball club BC Vytautas.
