Cothen is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Wijk bij Duurstede, and lies about 10 km (6 mi) southeast of Houten.In 2001, the town of Cothen had 2269 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.42 km2 (0 sq mi), and contained 890 residences. Including both the village itself and the surrounding area, the statistical district of Cothen has about 2940 inhabitants.

't Goy (52°0′N 5°13′E) is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Houten, and lies about 5 km southeast of Houten.In 2001, the village of 't Goy had 170 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.04 km², and contained 70 residences. 't Goy is also home to the Netherlands' largest honey-glazed ham factory.

Houten Castellum is a railway station located in Houten, Netherlands, which opened at 8 January 2001 and it is located on the Utrecht–Boxtel railway . Originally it was the southernmost point of the Houten - Houten Castellum tram line. This temporary service closed at 14 December 2008. The services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
