Eisenhower Park

Eisenhower Park, formerly known as Salisbury Park, is centrally located in East Meadow, New York bordered by Hempstead Turnpike on the south and Old Country Road on the north. At 930 acres (3.8 km2), it is larger than Central Park (in Manhattan, New York City), with much of the area devoted to three 18-hole golf courses, including the Red Course, host to the annual Commerce Bank Championship (Champions Tour).

Brookholt

Place
Brookholt was a Gilded Age mansion on Front Street in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. It was built for Oliver and Alva Belmont in 1897. Designed by Richard Howland Hunt, the house was built in the Colonial Revival-style, rendered in wood. John Russell Pope designed a Georgian-style farmhouse on the property in 1906 also.

The Nassau County Aquatics Center is an aquatic facility located at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. It is considered the largest Olympic-sized single-tank pool in North America. At least 16 world records in swimming have been set in the facility. It was built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games. Since the Goodwill Games in 1998, it has hosted numerous swimming championships and high level competitions including the USA Swimming National Championship, NCAA National Championship, Big East Conference Championship and FINA World Cup.

The 1926 PGA Championship was the ninth PGA Championship, held September 20–25 at Salisbury Golf Club on Long Island in East Meadow, New York. Then a match play championship, Walter Hagen defeated Leo Diegel 5 & 3 in the finals to win his third consecutive PGA Championship, his fourth overall, and the eighth of his eleven major titles.
