The Japan Meteorological Agency (気象庁, Kishō-chō), JMA, is an agency of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. It is charged with gathering and providing results for the public in Japan that are obtained from data based on daily scientific observation and research into natural phenomena in the fields of meteorology, hydrology, seismology and volcanology, among other related scientific fields.

Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corporation (東京メトロポリタンテレビジョン株式会社, Tōkyō Metoroporitan Terebijon Kabushiki-gaisha, Tokyo MX, after its call letters, JOMX-DTV) is a television station in Tokyo, Japan. It is the only television station that exclusively serves the city. It competes with Nippon Television, TV Asahi, NHK, Tokyo Broadcasting System, TV Tokyo, and Fuji Television, all of which are flagship stations of national networks.

The Tokyo Fire Department (東京消防庁, Tokyo Shōbōchō, TFD) is a fire department headquartered in Ōtemachi, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. The TFD was formed on March 7, 1948, and is responsible for protecting the Tokyo Metropolis Area. The Fire Department is the largest urban fire department in the world. Covering the 23 Wards of Tokyo and parts of Western Tokyo, it provides assistance in case of fires, biological, chemical, and radioactive hazards, as well as earthquakes and flooding.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (警視庁, Keishichō) serves as the police force of Tokyo Metropolis. Founded in 1874, it is headed by a Superintendent-General, who is appointed by the National Public Safety Commission, and approved by the Prime Minister.The Metropolitan Police, with a staff of more than 40,000 police officers, and over 2,800 civilian personnel, manages 102 stations in the prefecture.

The Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art (東京国立近代美術館, Tōkyō Kokuritsu Kindai Bijutsukan) in Tokyo, Japan, is the foremost museum collecting and exhibiting modern Japanese art.This Tokyo museum is also known by the English acronym MOMAT (National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo). The museum is known for its collection of 20th-century art and includes Western-style and Nihonga artists.

DN Tower 21 is an office building in Tokyo, Japan. It includes the former Dai-Ichi Seimei Building, in which Douglas MacArthur had his headquarters during the occupation of Japan following World War II. The Government of Tokyo designated DN Tower 21 as a historical building in 2004.The shorter five-story building, the former headquarters of SCAP, was completed in 1933 (renovated 1989–1995) for the headquarters of the Norinchukin Bank, and the Dai-Ichi Seimei began to house its offices in the building in 1938.

The Sakuradamon Incident (桜田門外の変, Sakuradamon-gai no Hen, or 桜田門の変 Sakuradamon no Hen) was the assassination of Japanese Chief Minister (Tairō) Ii Naosuke (1815–1860) on 24 March 1860 by rōnin samurai of the Mito Domain, outside the Sakurada Gate of Edo Castle.

Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc. (株式会社ニッポン放送, Kabushiki-gaisha Nippon Hōsō), or JOLF, is a Japanese radio station in Yurakucho, Chiyoda ward, Tokyo, next to the Tokyo Imperial Palace. Founded in 1954, it is together with Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, the flagship station of the National Radio Network.

The British Embassy, Tokyo (駐日英国大使館) Chūnichi Eikoku Taishikan, is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in Japan, with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Japan being the chief of mission. The embassy compound measures about 35,000 m2, located at No 1 Ichiban-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (Japanese: 東京都千代田区一番町一), to the west of the Imperial Palace, and separated from the latter by a moat.

Hibiya Station (日比谷駅, Hibiya-eki) is an underground railway station in the Yūrakuchō district of Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, operated by Tokyo Metro and Toei. The area around the station is generally called Hibiya, which is the southwestern corner of the Yūrakuchō district.Hibiya is Tokyo Metro's thirty-seventh busiest station in 2016, while its connected station Yūrakuchō ranks fifteenth.
