Fergusson College (FC), now Fergusson University is an autonomous public educational institution offering courses in the streams of arts and science in the city of Pune. It was founded in 1885 by the Deccan Education Society. Professor Vaman Shivram Apte was its first principal. Social reformer, journalist, thinker and educationist Gopal Ganesh Agarkar served as the second principal from August 1892 till his death in June 1895.

Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce is a college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University(formerly Pune University). The College was established in 1943, in Pune by the Deccan Education Society. Chandrashekhar Agashe, the Managing Agent of the Brihan Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate Ltd., was instrumental in getting a donation of Rs 2,00,000/- for the college from the Syndicate, hence the name Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce.

The Symbiosis Society is a family of 37 educational institutions on 19 campuses in India. It has some 27,000 students.The society manages the Symbiosis International University (SIU), formerly Symbiosis International Education Centre.Symbiosis is a Greek term meaning 'Living together for mutual benefit'.

Tuljaram Chaturchand College of Arts, Science and Commerce (T C College) is a college located in Baramati, Pune. The college was established in the 1962. The college campus is 40 acres large. The college offers Bachelors and master's degree in Arts, Commerce and Science. The college also offers bachelor's degree in vocational courses like Food Processing and Journalism & Mass Communication.

The Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR) in Pune, India, is the oldest management institution in Pune, and comes under the Deccan Education Society. Earlier IMDR was offering three full-time programmes: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade (PGDIT) and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources (PGDHR), along with its other part-time programmes.
