Kakani is a Gaunpalika and former village development committee in Nuwakot District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, the Kakani village development committee administered a population of 7816 living in 1343 individual households.As one of the most accessible settlements from Kathmandu over 2000 meters, this hill station hosts a British Gurkhas welfare bungalow and a number of hotels.

Suryachaur is a Hill station to see the Langtang Himalayan Range as well as entire Likhu Valley of Nuwakot District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. Surya chaur is a Nice view point of the chain of Mountain range like Mt Manaslu 8153 meter, Mt.Ganesh Himal, Mt.Langtang Lirung, Mt.Dorje Lakpa and holy Gauri Shanker himal.
