Trevethin to grotto

Pontypool Park (Welsh: Parc Pont-y-pŵl) is a 150-acre (0.61 km2) park containing predominantly mature trees with some open meadowland, and located in Pontypool in south Wales. The park was formerly the grounds of Pontypool House and was laid out in the closing years of the 17th century for Major John Hanbury, the local ironmaster, who is closely associated with Japanware.

Penygarn is a village near Trevethin in Wales.Penygarn has its own nursery, infant school and junior school. Penygarn has its new housing accommodation, Penygarn heights, built upon the grounds of the old Trevethin community school which has since been demolished.

The Shell Grotto - (Welsh: Groto Cregyn) - (sometimes called the Shell Hermitage) is a Grade II* listed (as of 7 February, 1962) late-18th-century stone built, cylindrical, slate roofed shell grotto decorated with shells and animal bones on the interior. It stands on a prominent ridge 700 ft (213 m) above sea level, within the boundary of Pontypool Park, Torfaen in south Wales.

Trevethin (Welsh: Trefddyn) is a suburb of Pontypool in Torfaen, Wales, a community in Torfaen, and includes two electoral wards (Trevethin and St Cadocs and Penygarn) for Torfaen County Borough Council.

Not to be confused with Saint Cadoc's Church in Caerleon and much with Saint Cadoc's Hospital in Caerleon.Saint Cadocs/Penygarn is an electoral ward in the county borough of Torfaen in south east Wales.Saint Cadocs is quite small and holds Saint Cadocs parish church in it. Penygarn is divided into housing estate areas and Old Penygarn, one of the richest places in Pontypool.

Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw is a Welsh-medium comprehensive school located in Trevethin, Pontypool in Torfaen, Wales and named for Saint Gwynllyw. The school had 926 pupils on roll in 2017.

Trevethin Community School (Welsh: Ysgol Gymunedol Trefddyn) was a non-selective state secondary school in the Pontypool suburb of Penygarn, Wales. The school—established in 1982 as Trevethin Comprehensive School—was originally housed on two sites, the former Pontypool Girls' Grammar School building and the former Trevethin Secondary Modern School (51.7150°N 3.0373°W / 51.7150; -3.0373 (Trevethin Secondary Modern School)), which is now the Welsh-language school Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw.

St. Alban's RC High School (Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Catholig Sain Alban) is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Pontypool, Torfaen, Wales. As of 2012, it provides education for 700 11- to 18-year-olds and 360 sixth formers. The school is situated in Park House, the former home of the Hanbury family in Pontypool Park.
