Kaluga State University (KSU) is a university in Kaluga, Russia. The university was founded in 1948. Before 2010 it was Kaluga State Pedagogical University. It's named after Tsiolkovsky. The university consists of 6 institutes (The Institute of Natural Sciences; The Institute of History and Law; The Institute of Pedagogics; The Institute of Psychology; The Institute of Social Relationships; The Institute of Physics and Technologies), 2 faculties (Faculty of Foreign Languages; Philological Faculty), and The Institute of Pre-University Traininng, The Institute of Additional Professional Training.

Kaluga Regional Drama Theatre (Russian: Калужский областной драматический театр) is a Russian theatre in Kaluga. One of the oldest operating drama theaters of Russia (since 1777).

The Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics (Russian: Государственный музей истории космонавтики имени К.Э.Циолковского) is the first museum in the world dedicated to the history of space exploration. It was opened on 3 October 1967 in Kaluga, and is named after Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, a school master and rocket science pioneer who lived most of his life in this city.
