This route makes for a great out and back trail run, or a day hike. Park near lower Noble Canyon Trailhead and stay on Noble Canyon trail for the entire route. Signage is plentiful. The halfway spot to turn around and head back is Penny Pines located past the cattle gate, off Sunrise Highway. Great spot for a quick rest and chat with other hikers and mountain bikers parked along the highway. Make sure to bring plenty of water as much of the route is exposed to the elements. If you do this route in the late spring/early summer when it just begins to get hot, you’ll likely cross the creek on 7 occasions and be able to cool off.
