The beach has paved stones and illumination. There is one Lions Park for the children and an aquarium. Kozhikode beach has always been a prominent place for conducting public meetings.

The current tower is 15 meters (49 ft) and is painted white. Kozhikode or Calicut lighthouse is automated, and an LED flasher apparatus is in use.
