The Ryazan State University named for S. A. Yesenin (Russian: Рязанский государственный университет имени С. А. Есенина) is a university in Ryazan, Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It was founded in 1915. It bears the name of Russian poet Sergei Yesenin, who grew up in the region.

Ryazan Kremlin, the oldest part of the city of Ryazan, is a historical and architectural museum. It is one of the oldest museums in Russia. Located on the top of a steep hill, it is surrounded by rivers and a dry moat. This monument of architecture and nature reserve of federal importance is included in the State Register of Especially Valuable Objects of the People of the Russian Federation.

The General V.F. Margelov Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne twice Red Banner Order of Suvorov Command School (RGVVDKU) is a Russian Ministry of Defense military educational institute. It was first formed as the Ryazan Infantry Courses on 13 November 1918 – thus it is one of the oldest active military academies in modern day Russia.
