Fort Ord - Sand City

Fort Ord Dunes State Park is a state park of California, USA, along 4 miles (6.4 km) of coastline on Monterey Bay and created from part of the now-closed Fort Ord. The park includes a boardwalk, a path to the beach, a 4-mile (6.4 km) road for walking and biking, and interpretive exhibits describing its former use as a military training area.

Sand City is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, located on the shores of Monterey Bay, and surrounded on most sides by the larger city of Seaside. Sand City is located 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Monterey, at an elevation of 72 feet (22 m). The population was 334 at the 2010 census, up from 261 at the 2000 census.

Seaside High School is a school located in Seaside, California. The school first opened in September 1963 to Sophomores and Juniors (incoming Seniors continued to attend Monterey High School until graduation), graduating its first class in June 1965. Average annual enrollment is 1,400 students, attending grades 9–12.

Sand City Station, formerly Edgewater Transit Exchange, is a bus station operated by Monterey-Salinas Transit in Sand City, California. It is located on the north side of Playa Avenue, west of California Avenue, at Edgewater Shopping Center. It offers few facilities besides covered benches; a notable exception is the free Wi-Fi service provided by MST.
