Start this hike early. Parking will be much easier. Park across the street from Cal Fire and walk over to the trailhead. The restrooms at the visitor center are currently closed (COVID). But there are some Port-a potty‘s across the street however the gate to access them does not open until 8 AM. The later in the day the trail gets pretty congested. The earlier it is the smaller amount of people at the Eagle turn around point and you will have plenty of time to take pictures, eat your snack, and enjoys the well received breeze. This a a well maintained trail and runners will have no problems (unless the cows or turkeys want to take over the path...).
