Henry Street High School is located in Whitby, Ontario, within the Durham District School Board. The school offers programs for students in grades 9–12 and a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities. The school was originally known as "Whitby District High School"; the name was changed after the opening of Whitby's second high school, Anderson, in 1960.

Pringle Creek is a small watercourse that drains into Lake Ontario in Whitby, Ontario.It drains 2,847 hectares (10.99 sq mi).On June 19, 2017, police and animal control officials were able to contain, tranquilize and safely relocate a black bear who had wandered into residential areas on Pringle Creek.

The Whitby Junction Station is a historic railroad station, originally built at the foot of Byron Street in Whitby, Ontario. The former Grand Trunk Railway station closed in 1969 and the building was first moved to the north-east corner of Victoria and Henry Streets for use as an art gallery and in 2004 moved across the road to its current location in Whitby Iroquois Park.

Whitby GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. It is a stop on the Lakeshore East line and was the eastern terminus of the dedicated GO Transit right-of-way until those tracks were extended to Oshawa in 1995. There are connections by GO Bus northward to Port Perry and Beaverton, and local Durham Region Transit routes within Whitby.
