Hospital Santo Tomás (HST) (English: Saint Thomas Hospital), is the largest Public hospital that the Panamanian Health Ministry has. Its long history goes as far as 1703.

Bicsa Financial Center, first named Ice Tower, then Star Bay Tower, is a 68-story skyscraper in Avenida Balboa, Panama City. Standing 267 m (876 ft) tall, it is the third tallest building in Panama City and fourth in Latin America.Bicsa Financial Center is also known for its distinctive glass colour (gold).

The Miramar Towers are two skyscrapers located in Avenida Balboa and Calle Federico Boyd, Panama City. Once, the hotel and residential tower complex were the tallest buildings in Panama at 168 m (551 ft), with 55 floors.The Miramar Towers generated much controversy locally since their construction has made expansion of Balboa avenue impossible.

Torre Waterss is a 69-storey skyscraper in Avenida Balboa, Panama City. Reaching a height of 232 metres, it is the 12th tallest building in the country.

The Isthmus Department, or Department of Panama (Spanish: Departamento de Panamá), was one of the departments of the Republic of Gran Colombia and later of the Republic of Colombia. It was created in 1824 and named after the Isthmus of Panama. It covered the territory of what is now the country of Panama and some coastal territories farther northward along the Caribbean shoreline of present-day Costa Rica and Nicaragua (Mosquito Coast).

Following independence from Spain in 1821, Panamá State was one of the states of the Republic of Gran Colombia. Created 27 February 1855 under the name Estado Federal de Panamá (Federal State of Panamá). It later was recognized as Estado de la Federación in the constitution of the Granadine Confederation of 1858, and in the constitution of 1863 renamed as Estado Soberano (Sovereign State of Panamá) in the national and state constitutions of 1863.

The Yacht Club Tower is a 57-storey 215 meters tall skyscraper in Avenida Balboa, Panama City. It was in charge of the firm of architects Panamanian Mallol & Mallol. As its name suggests, the concept of this building is that of a boat, the plants have the shape of a yacht looking towards the sea. The auction culminates in a building shaped tip coated glass knife.
