Hyde Park

The Animals in War Memorial is a war memorial, in Hyde Park, London, commemorating the countless animals that have served and died under British military command throughout history. It was designed by English sculptor David Backhouse and unveiled in November 2004 by Anne, Princess Royal.

The Cavalry of the Empire Memorial, also known as the Cavalry Memorial, is a war memorial in Hyde Park, London. It commemorates the service of cavalry regiments in the First and Second World Wars. It became a Grade II listed building in 1987, and was promoted to Grade II* in November 2014.

Hyde Park is a Grade I-listed major park in Central London. It is the largest of four Royal Parks that form a chain from the entrance of Kensington Palace through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, via Hyde Park Corner and Green Park past the main entrance to Buckingham Palace. The Holocaust Memorial in Hyde Park, London, was the first public memorial in Great Britain dedicated to victims of the Holocaust. It lies to the east of the Serpentine Lake, in The Dell, an open-air area within the park. Since its unveiling in 1983 remembrance services have taken place at the memorial every year.

Brook House located at 113 Park Lane in Mayfair, London, was built by Thomas Henry Wyatt from 1867 to 1869. It was the home of Edward VII's private banker Sir Ernest Cassel and his granddaughter. Upon his death in 1921, the house was left to Edwina Cynthia Annette Ashley, daughter of The 1st Baron Mount Temple (by the second creation) and Amalia Mary Maud Cassel.

The 2011 anti-cuts protest in London, also known as the March for the Alternative, was a demonstration held in central London on 26 March 2011. Organised by the Trades Union Congress (TUC), it was a protest march against planned public spending cuts by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government that was formed in May 2010.

The Dell Restaurant is a Grade II* listed restaurant at the eastern end of the Serpentine in Hyde Park, London W1.It was built in 1964, and the architect was Patrick Gwynne.

Cavalry Sunday is the annual parade of the Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association which takes place in Hyde Park, London, England, on the second Sunday of May each year. Retired members of the Cavalry regiments of the British Army march to a service and commemoration around the band stand in the southeast corner of Hyde Park and the nearby memorial to the bombing which took place there.
