Alexandra Park

Alexandra Palace is a Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue in London, situated between Wood Green and Muswell Hill in the London Borough of Haringey. It is built on the site of Tottenham Wood and the later Tottenham Wood Farm. Originally built by John Johnson and Alfred Meeson, it opened in 1873 but following a fire two weeks after its opening, was rebuilt by Johnson.

Alexandra Park is an 80–hectare, Green Flag Award, and Green Heritage winning, diverse-landscape park, in the Borough of Haringey in north London adjacent to Hornsey, Muswell Hill and Wood Green.Laid out on the site of Tottenham Wood and the later Tottenham Wood Farm, the park and palace were named in 1863, the year of the marriage of Alexandra of Denmark to the Prince of Wales who became King Edward VII.

The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream was a concert held in the Great Hall of the Alexandra Palace, London, on 29 April 1967. The fund-raising concert for the counterculture paper International Times was organised by Barry Miles, John "Hoppy" Hopkins, David Howson, Mike McInnerney and Jack Henry Moore. It was part-documented by Peter Whitehead in a film called Tonite Let's All Make Love in London.

The Alexandra Palace television station in North London (grid reference TQ297901) is one of the oldest television transmission sites in the world. What was at the time called "high definition" (405-line) TV broadcasts on VHF were beamed from this mast from 1936 until the outbreak of World War II. It then lay dormant until it was used very successfully to foil the German Y-Gerät radio navigation system during the last stages of the Battle of Britain.

Alexandra Park Racecourse was a horse racing venue in Alexandra Park, London; it was colloquially known as the Frying Pan on account of its shape. It opened on 30 June 1868 and closed 102 years later on 8 September 1970. It is now incorporated into the park, with a sports pitch in the centre of the racetrack oval.

The 2012 Holland Heineken House was the Dutch meeting place for supporters, athletes and other followers during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, organized by Heineken and NOC*NSF. It was the 11th edition of the Holland Heineken House since 1982. The 2012 House opened its doors on the day of the opening ceremony on 27 July 2012 and closed on the day of the closing ceremony, 12 August 2012.

Stamp World London 90 was an international stamp exhibition held 3-13 May 1990 at the Alexandra Palace, London.1990 was also the 150th anniversary of the introduction of the Uniform Penny Post and the Penny Black and a number of stamps and exhibition souvenirs were produced in that connection.

The 2014 World Championship of Ping Pong was a table tennis tournament.
