Heaton Park

Heaton Park is a municipal park in Manchester, England, covering an area of over 600 acres (242.8 ha). The park includes the grounds of a Grade I listed, neoclassical 18th century country house, Heaton Hall. The hall, remodelled by James Wyatt in 1772, is now only open to the public on an occasional basis as a museum and events venue.

The Heaton Park Tramway is a heritage tramway running old trams as a visitor attraction in Heaton Park, Manchester.

Great Heaton (also known as Over Heaton and Heaton Reddish) was a township in the parish of Prestwich-cum-Oldham and hundred of Salford, in Lancashire, England. It was occupied land between Prestwich and Manchester, near Heaton Park.It formed part of the "Manchester poor law Union", 1841–50, but in 1850 was included in "Prestwich poor law Union".
