毛主席纪念堂: 毛主席纪念堂是为纪念开国领袖毛泽东而建造的,于1977年5月24日落成,主体呈正方形,外有44根福建黄色花岗石建造的明柱,屋顶有两层玻璃飞檐,基座有两层平台。
人民英雄纪念碑: 人民英雄纪念碑是中华人民共和国政府为纪念中国近现代史上的革命烈士而修建的纪念碑,正面镌刻着毛泽东同志所题写的“人民英雄永垂不朽”八个金箔大字。背面碑心内容为毛泽东起草、周恩来书写的150字小楷字体碑文。
天安门: 天安门是明清两代北京皇城的正门,始建于明朝永乐十五年(1417年),最初名“承天门”,寓“承天启运、受命于天”之意。设计者为明代御用建筑匠师蒯祥。
午门: 午门是颁发皇帝诏书的地方。皇帝在立春赐春饼;端午日赐凉糕,重阳日赐花糕。遇明代皇帝处罚大臣的“廷杖”也在午门举行。

保和殿: 保和殿,是明清传统宫殿建筑,属于北京故宫中的一座殿宇式建筑。明初名谨身殿,“保和” 出自《易经》,意为“志不外驰,恬神守志”,也就是神志得专一,以保持宇宙间万物和谐。
乾清宫: 乾清宫是内廷正殿,即民间所谓“后三宫(乾清宫、交泰殿、坤宁宫)”中的第一座宫殿。殿的正中有宝座,两头有暖阁。乃明清十六个皇帝的寝宫。
神武门: 神武门,是紫禁城北门。建于明永乐十八年,初名玄武门,取古代“四神”中的玄武,代表北方之意,后因避康熙皇帝玄烨名讳改名神武门。门外上方匾额“故宫博物院”为著名历史学家郭沫若于1971年题写。
万春亭(景山公园): 万春亭位于景山的中峰,中峰的相对高度为45.7米,是北京城南北中轴线上最高和最佳的观景点。站在这里可以看到紫禁城全貌,是个拍照最佳地点。
